A return to AMST 422- a different perspective

The 1100 block of Ward Street in Baltimore, Maryland is a block that most people would over look if they were traveling through Baltimore city. When looking at this particular block of Baltimore city, we see that most of us would over look this area because of the numerous abandoned houses, the houses that were demolished and left as piles of rubble. However when we look closer we tend to see that this block is looked upon as a beacon of hope for many people in the neighborhood. Specifically with the founding of Paul's Place Outreach Center, in 1982 that was once looked at as a resource for the homeless population, but it has become more than that for this community. Ward street has a rich history that has always been based upon community outreach, long before this class started.

Overall when looking at what i believe this iteration of the class will be is a more well organized event. i feel that with my experience in the class itself i ill be able to help them in many ways. some of my info may come out in a tough manner but it is all out of love! I look forward to working with everyone this semester.
