Sooooooo....Spring break was wonderful!! had some time to relax and get away, and also got to take my brother and sister sledding when we had that normal Maryland March winter storm! but overall over break I was looking up the buildings that Zach had listed and made a list of the buildings we should feature on the website and see if everyone agrees before myself and Terece begin to make edits to any of the photos we will be taking.
Finally back from spring break we are back to working on our community project and i have to say it is coming along very well. so far the past group has created a visual map website, all of Zach's handy work, and Terece and myself have been gathering pictures and are actually meeting up later today to take more photos of the buildings we are visiting and also other scenic images of the area. I feel that the project is going in the right direction, and we need to focus on what activities we are going to do with the people who come there. I feel as though maybe the past group can try to find some older photos that we could have made into some sort of presentation that we could show at the event. the photos could be, if possible, of the former owners of food stalls in Hollins Market, or other local business owners, only if the photos are able to be found if not then we can try something different. I also feel as though we should try to interview a few of the business owners that we are going to visit on the tour so we can have some dialogue on their perspective of the importance of the history of the area and what their business has to offer if they are unavailable at the time of the tour. Over all i feel as though we are in a great spot and are progressing faster than i expected for something of this magnitude.
